25 July 2008 Vova and Olga's mom (Tatiana Galchenko) arrived in Los Angeles.
25 July 2008 Vova and Olga's mom left Moscow for Los Angeles.
19 July 2008 Vova was invited to perform in the Cascade of Stars gala closing show. People expected Vova to do the same act he did in the competition, until he appeared as presidential candidate instead. The jokes worked well, the videos worked, his juggling was great. Vova hit 7 clubs, and people thought he was done, but he then said he would announce his Vice President, and Olga was revealed to enormous applause...
19 July 2008 Vova won 3 more gold medals in Lexington: for juggling the most balls (9), the most clubs (7), and for club passing with Peter Kaseman.
17 July 2008 Vova won the gold medal in Individuals.
15 July 2008 Olga and her friend Beth spent the night on the roof.
13 July 2008 Vova left for Lexington, Kentucky to participate in the IJA festival.
9 July 2008 Vova was a featured performer on this week's episode of the reality television show Celebrity Circus. He was attempting to break a juggling World Record (on most 5 club 5 up 360s in a minute, with the old record being 20. By Vova.). The episode airs today on Wednesday, July 9 at 10pm on NBC.
Vova got 22 in rehearsal. But he missed getting 21 in each of at least 9 attempts in front of the audience. It was extremely stressful for him, though the producers and the audience were supportive. Finally they warned Vova that they could only give him one or two more tries, and he hit 21 clean, and then did an extra after the time ran out. They were very happy that he got it...
1 July 2008 Vova has been selected to compete in this year's International Jugglers' Association Individual Championship Competition on July 17 in Lexington, Kentucky.
11 June 2008 "Top thinkers" from around the world to be featured at the 2008 Idea Festival. And Vova's giving a speech there too! More info at www.ideafestival.com.
