Font readability
Hey, so I heard a few complaints about the black-on-red font being hard to read. Never really occurred to me it would be a problem. Seems fine for me to read. But both, my dad and Mark agree that black on red IS hard to read. So I guess we're changing that eventually, just not yet. There's some really cool stuff happening right now that we're all busy with. You guys will see what it is soon. So bear with us, Mark will fix the readability issue eventually. I hope it doesn't keep you from reading our blogs.

I think it's bold and beautiful--don't lose the bold. I'm very old, but I can read it just fine. I was thinking about complimenting you on sticking with 2 colors + white for maximum impact.
Stay away from pink and turquoise and keep on wearing what you choose.

Hey...i watched all your videos on YOUTUBE and i really saw that you terribly need a haircut...no offense but its really irritating seeing you long hair covering your eyes... sorry to be manipulative or something but anyway....it's an opinion...

It's not hard to read.

On Nica's commen regarding Vova's haircut: I disagree, but anyway it is a matter of personal taste.
I think that long haircut covering Vova's eyes, featured in all YouTube videos, is very trendy and resemblece skate'n'ip style.
But haircut Vova has on a title pic on this home page is really terrible :)
I don't quite get it how Vova and Olga chose to have posing-style pics as title pic for this home page. I mean, they're all about juggling so it would make sense that title pics show their trademark moves: juggling with 11 clubs, back to back leaned on each other. But it's just my opinion.
BTW, reading black font on red background makes text really illegible. I would go for white text which is the color to go if you have red background. Don't change anything besides text color, as your home page sports really efective color coding. Less is more proves right as far as galchenko.com is concerned :)
respect.

Black font on red is definitelly not optimal. Whether it's better to change the font or the background, I don't know.

everyone has an opinion, eh? ;)the hair is cute. the pics look great. the colours are fine... to make it more legible, maybe a slightly larger font would solve the issue?

I'd agree with the idea of switching black and white around, but then you wouldn't be able to read the comment and search windows if they didn't change to black also! Don't forget to keep the bold, in everything...

Hey.. I like the haircut and the pics are great. So what if it's a pose pic you guys aren't JUST about juggling (even though it is your life pretty much) but you're people too. I can read everything fine but if you change the font or make it bigger maybe people will stop complaining.

Just desaturate the red a little. I think on a good monitor the red is really vibrant, on a poor monitor it is not a problem really.

something to bear in mind - darker colours use less energy than bright bright ones and are less damaging to the eyes therefore if you keep the background dark and font light your saving energy for every single person who looks at the page.
tom - some sort of energy saving hippie
