Vova got into a car incident today

From my chat with Olga:

"...
He got into a car accident
He fell asleep at the wheel
Ran into a tree and turned over
He is very very very very very very lucky
His arm is hurt
It's not broken
It's just cut badly
They gave him stitches
Left arm between wrist and elbow
The whole lower arm is cut
It looked pretty bad
but I mean people die in accidents like his
...
Well, I got woken up at 7:10 or so
Barry told me that Vova's car got turned over
and they think he fell asleep at the wheel
I got all freaked out
told Dave what happened and we left to go to the hospital
We saw the car on the way there
and I got so scared
It was completely totaled
Some lady who was behind him called 911
She said he was driving slow
because he was falling asleep
and then he hit a tree
and turned the car over
He crawled out of the window himself though
I'm not sure how his head didn't get hurt
because the car is totaled
The roof is all the way squished
I have no idea how he ever got out
We got to the hospital
and they let me in to see him
and he was there
in the emergency room
...
but yeah, the emergency came and took him away
and they took x-rays
and nothing was clinically broken
but the cut was pretty bad
They said they would numb his arm
clean it out
give him internal and external stitches
and then he would be good to go on the plane
..."

20 stitches! It was Vova's last day in America...

Scary! Poor Vova. Get well soon!

As scary as it was for us this morning, it must have been thousands of times scarier for Vova. Olga's right. Seeing his car totalled in the middle of the road, on the way to the hospital to see him, was frightening. I can't fathom how he made it to the end of the day with as few as 20 stitches in one arm and everything else virtually injury free.

We're glad he'll get to spend some time with you two and look forward to seeing him back in Southern California real soon!

Sorry to read about your accident Vova. Wanted to wish you speedy recovery and a safe journey.

I had a dream this morning that Vova was in a crash. He's a very lucky guy.

Tell him to visualize his practice routine every night before bed, throw for throw. I sliced my finger a few weeks back and couldn't juggle for two weeks; when I came back I was hardly rusty at all, I'd gotten better at some things. And it stops you from going mad from not juggling.

Pass on my very best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Stephen

That was very scary to read that. I hope he gets better very soon.
So, he gets in an accident and he still flys to russia the next day?

Not the next day, Nick. The same day! His flight for Russia left about 8 hours after the accident on Monday.

I'm so glad that Vova is alive and well and will have a couple of months in Russia to ponder his life. Please thank him for his candid and fascinating blogs. Olga seems to have it together and is headed for a great life in the U.S (I hope.) Vova is a very intelligent man who ponders basic questions (God, evolution, intelligent design, etc.) but his search is not over yet. I look forward to hearing more. I'm still searching, too. 62 years old and a juggler.

Thanks for your kind words, Mark!
Vasili

Dear Vasili,

I care about you and your family. I want to share with you that my search is over. I have found the truth and the truth has set me free. When I was 5 years old I fell 10 feet onto blacktop and fractured my skull in the back down to the base of my spine. I was in a coma. It was not luck that saved me. When I was 12, I was in heavy rapids and sucked underwater with only my hand breaking the surface. It was not luck that saved me. I am alive today only because of the Grace of God. Jesus Christ is alive and He has given me life. The following audios have really helped me.
God bless you.

Your Friend,
Judah

R U OK VOVA?????
xxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
love you forever.

Dear Glachenkos,
I am sorry to hear about Vova's accident. But at the same time I am happy to hear that he is relativly fine. I'm sure for someone at the level of competition and skill he's at that it is more than difficult to not train or practice for as long as he did. I saw the videos of him practicing after the accident and minus the frustration he looked like he is doing well. Just thought I'd share.
Lucy
