I just spent the last 2 hours watching the galchenko clips on YouTube! They're amazing.
What do papa and mama galchenko do now? Is papa galchenko still a math teacher?
Is it common in Russia for parents to set up a schedule and train their children as you did? What kind of hopes did you have for your children? Did you envision them becoming successful jugglers when they were children?
How have Vova and Olga's lives changed since being on T.V., magazine, and YouTube? It seems they have become quite famous. How have your (parents) lives changed?

Working on the market, selling ladies' wear. Mom is kind of a business woman. I help her.

"Is papa galchenko still a math teacher?"
No. Do you know how much a teacher earns in Russia? About $100 a month. :-)

No. Very uncommon.

"What kind of hopes did you have for your children?"
We wished and wish Vova and Olga to be happy and successful. I personally saw them in science: Math, Physics, Biology...

No. At least untill they left Russia. We always saw a juggling as a hobby. But if Vova is happy to be a juggler and can make his living as a juggler, that's great!

They got and keep getting a lot of offers for interviews, shows, etc. Unfortunately Vova will have to leave the USA in October, so they have to turn down many proposals.

Not at all. Except I started to get much more e-mails. :-)

You said that Vova has to leave the USA in October. I thought his Extrodinary Abilitys thing was accepted, did something change?
Can you juggle?

Yes, Vova's extraordinary ability petition was approved, but it doesn't give him a legal status in the United States automatically. It gives him grounds for getting Green Card. It takes time to get it. Nobody knows how long exactly. From 6 to 12 months.

Caroline, I have already answered the similar questions in my July blog:

"...when Vova was 4, we were looking for some sports club for physical trainings for him. The Circus School was the only organization which took 4-year kids. We thought it would be good for Vova to practice Acrobatics, Equilibristic, and General Physical trainings. They started juggling only from age of 6. Soon Vova became the best among his classmates in all disciplines. Maybe not because of his talent, but because additional trainings at home.
Juggling was the most developed discipline in that Circus School. (Maybe because the director was a juggler.) Vova was featured and often was forced to stay after school for additional trainings for making and developing the juggling act. You can see his first juggling act "Sailors" on YouTube:

As for Olga I started to teach her juggling from age of 5. I hoped the director of the circus school takes her into some show as well. But in spite of the fact that Olga was the best among her classmates too, she was never taken into any serious act. I don't know why for sure. I may only guess..."

I am aged 14 and I to perform my own routine on stage etc.
I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to present my act more efficiently and precise.
Ie: Set up, props trolleys, music, costume etc.

Tom, I am not a performer or a juggler, so not much help from me here.
Search for the internet. There are a lot of sites about performing on stage. And there were a lot of topics about performing on rec.juggling.
