Oh What I Wouldn't Do to Be Less Clumsy...
My friend Beth and I made plans to go to the movies and then go to her parents' house and have dinner last night. I was all excited to meet her at the theater at 4:20. I was walking out of my bedroom singing when I slammed the door on my fingers.
I started squealing like crazy with my hand over my mouth. When I looked at my hand it was dripping with blood and I felt sick and started to cry hysterically. I ran downstairs where Vova was practicing and showed it to him. Neither of us do well with blood, so we went to Barry's office. Mark and Barry really wanted to take me to the emergency room. As soon as I heard those two horrible words, I stopped crying and was like "I'm fine!". But we went there and they took an xray to make sure I didn't break anything. They did cut off some skin though. It was disgusting. Ugg..I could not look at my hand until they put band aids over my fingers. Now I'm typing with one hand and learning how to use the mouse with my left hand, I changed the settings on it last night. So annoying.
So I didn't get to see the movie with Beth but I still went to dinner, which was lovely I must say. Her mom and I took Duke (the dog) on a walk, I had a conversation with her father about college. Beth's brother, Scotty, is going to be a high school freshman this year! Which I'm especially excited about because I'm doing Link Crew (a program lead by juniors and seniors for freshmen). They also made me a belated birthday cake!! I hadn't had one in a few years. So thank you Beth, Nancy, Tom, Scotty and Dukie for having me last night!

i totally know how you feel. i've had my fingers slammed in doors 5 times in my life. the most recent time, i lost the nail on my right index finger. not fun at all.

Hm.. an idea would be to learn one handed juggling while Vova throws the clubs to you.. maybe start small then move on until your hand recovers?
I'm sorry it had to happen, though. I hope it gets better soon.

You don't have to set the computer on "left handed mouse". I use my left hand all the time with the right hand configuration, because my wrist get fucked with all the juggling and "mousing" so I use both hands and flip the mouse to the other side all the time, im now just as good with my left hand as my right with the righthand configuration

I had my little finger stuck in a bus boot door... That hurt like hell ! And also had a finger stuck in a car door when I was a kid, the door locked on my finger and we struggled to open it quickly! Funny enough, I still remember the pain !

I hit fell back and hit my head while I was running down concrete steps. My head was bleading really bad, I whent o ER and they gave me staples. They never did take an Xray......

I can totally sympathize (empathize? I never know which is which) with the one handed typing. It's pretty rough. I've broken my arm twice in the last 4 years and the cast prohibited me from typing =(. Hope it doesn't take too long to get your other hand back!
