5 Club Backcrosses High!

I practiced today! Only for an hour and half though. I did a lot better than I thought I would. I got 20 5 club backcrosses! That was exciting. 6 clubs wasn't so great. I hope it's better next time.

I'm interested in what your plans might be, besides juggling... I mean, 5-10 years down the road, I suppose you planto finish your studies and get a job. Would appreciate if you could share your thoughts on this...

Oh, on a more personal note, I'm also curious is it hard for you and Vova to fall in love and maintain relationship with your boyfriend / girlfriend. I ask since you are so focused on juggling and studying right now so I'm wondering if it takes a tall on a love front. Vova's in even harder position since he has legal troubles with getting permanent residence status and this can be quite messy if he's involved in a relationship.

BTW, Vova should marry American girl ASAP - this is a viable shortcut to becoming an American citizen :)

(I realize that the comment was partly intended as a joke, but here's my reply anyway.)
This is not a viable shortcut. The U.S. hates foreigners now more than ever before. They are changing every system in place to try and disallow immigration. There were once separate offices to handle different aspects of immigrating, this was for checks and balances. They are now being centralized, much like communism, to make it extremely difficult to get anywhere without running into false trouble. Interview dates, fingerprinting, everything is being expedited, in hopes that the immigrants will be late even a few hours, which will nullify the whole expensive, frustrating, stressful process that will then need to be restarted. What it comes down to is one man's mood on the day of the final interview. If he's happy, you're in, if his dog wet the carpet that morning, you're out.
If all goes well, there is a three year process to becoming a citizen, even AFTER marriage to a U.S. citizen (which takes a year in itself). I know this because I AM a U.S. citizen going through the marriage process right now.

We should do everything we can to spread the word that immigrants are not bad. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your senators. We need to ease the process so that people like the Familia Galchenki can come in peace and do what they do best.
